Serbian FM confers with Iranian foreign minister at NAM Summit

EghtesadOnline: Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic on Saturday held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on the current humanitarian crises, bilateral ties and the issues pertaining to the state of Kosovo.

NAM has 120 members and 17 countries have observer status, according to IRNA.

Dacic said that 61 countries yet to recognize independence of Kosovo are the NAM members, adding that currently 86 countries have not recognized independence of Kosovo.

Dacic, who attended the 17th NAM meeting in Venezuela, met with counterparts from Venezuela, Iran, Palestine, Ecuador, Azerbaijan Republic, Burundi and Cameroon.

NAM Summit opened on September 13 to 18 in Margarita Island in Venezuela.

In the Summit, Iran handed over rotating chairmanship of NAM to Venezuela.
