A look at the current violence and bloodshed in the neighboring countries and the region, ranging from Syria and Lebanon to Iraq, Yemen, Bahrain, Libya and Turkey indicate the ominous shadow of terrorism cast on the oppressed people of the Middle East, reports IRNA.
On the other hand, the sub-standard governance of the rulers of the Arab states in the Middle East and their negligence to respect the criteria of the international community created systematic violation of human rights and a routine practice to put the critics of such dictatorial rulers to the death squads.
So, the presence of Iranian president at the two important global Summits of NAM and the General Assembly of the United Nations from a country like a garden immune to the inferno of violence and extremism, is a diplomatic victory.
It is worth to be considered the subject of speech of President Rouhani focused on international peace, stability and tranquility.
The diplomacy of the government calls for avoiding extremism and violence as a deep heart-rending and the pillar of dialogue of such a government inside and outside is moderation and not to go to extremes.
In fact, President Rouhani in his past three speeches in the UN General Assembly over the past three years underlined efforts by all countries to establish peace and calm and condemn violence and extremism.
The idea of 'World Against Violence and Extremism' (WAVE) and 'Coalition for Sustainable Peace' put forward by Iranian president to the UN General Assembly and made into the International Law by approval of the General Assembly and heard by the world people at a time when the shadow of terrorism was not so widely seen.
To President Rouhani, extremism is a global issue and knows no limit. Due to the same reason, the government's approach has since the beginning of onfrontation with extremism in the entire international community.
During his provincial tours and in meetings with large groups of people, he focused his speeches on justice and fairness and beat the drums of friendship, integration and convergence.
The methodology of the 11th government adopted in respect to head of the state cannot be the otherwise. The First Vice-President and any of the cabinet members during their provincial tours investigated shortcomings of various sectors and tried for elimination of deprivations as ambassador of peace, friendship and kindness.
Furthermore, the 11th government accepted special standing of the influential groups in society, including Marja Taqlid, and never uses the divine values to achieve the goals set in the course of the election campaign.
Anywhere gaining success, he said it belongs to the entire nation and the governing system and anywhere finding any problem and shortcoming, he considered himself duty-bound and committed to remove them within authority and power of the government.
Hence, in the course of the year, we have repeatedly been witnessing presence of statesmen at houses of top religious dignitaries to brief them on measures taken by the government and to benefit from their views and stances.
Among other measures, the 11th government has taken within the framework, which I call it the 'shuttle diplomacy', are probing into approvals and promises given in the course of the past three years. Those are gained as a result of the visit of the president and senior government officials to various provinces. The Government has the duty to fulfill them during its tenure.
To this end, Vice-President for Executive Affairs and his colleagues had meetings with several officials constantly and went to different provinces to get informed of the measures the government took, while supervising and precisely overseeing fulfillment of promises in the year designated by the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei as the year of Action and Implementation.
In global visits, the 11th government is preacher of peace and justice and in domestic tours, it seeks administration of justice in entire country with the approach of moderation, preaching it as stance of the Islamic Republic of Iran. We believe that the requisite to global peace, stability and tranquility inside and general satisfaction of citizens is to achieve welfare and honorable life.
Any obstacle hurled on the way and any negative attempt targeting government to divert it from the blueprints and keeping the government busy with peripheral issues instead of dealing with main issues will be an unforgivable sin, aiming to undermine national and public interests.
