Dy Minister: Negotiations to buy airplanes from Japan underway

EghtesadOnline: Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development Asghar Fakhriyeh Kashan said on Sunday that negotiations to buy airplane from Japanese Mitsubishi Company are underway and that Japan is due to deliver several planes to Iran in near future.

He made the remarks on the sidelines of the second conference on investment opportunities in Iran Aviation Industry.

Kashan told reporters that the Japanese company has worked for a long time to build their first passenger plane, which finally produced three models of 70-seat, 90-seat and 100-seat passenger planes, according to IRNA.

The Japanese planes are passing final technical tests in the US.

He said that Japan sold 447 planes in advance and Iran is to buy from the Japanese company the models for Aseman Airlines as well.
