Iranian Minister in India to review Chabahar port development plan

EghtesadOnline: Minister of Roads and Urban Development Abbas Akhundi heading a high-ranking delegation arrived in India to visit his Indian counterpart and a number of other senior officials.

During meetings here, the Iranian delegation will review the Chabahar port development plan in a bid to work out ways to facilitate the implementation of the transit agreement between Iran and Afghanistan.

Akhundi is to go to Mumbai on Thursday to meet with a number of officials there, reports IRNA.

India, Iran and Afghanistan inked Chabahar port agreement on May 24.

India tends to gain access to Afghanistan and Central Asian Countries via Chabahar Port.
