EghtesadOnline: Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov and Iran's Ambassador to Moscow Mahdi Sanaei in a meeting on Tuesday explored ways to further ties between Tehran and Moscow.

The two officials stressed development of all-out ties particularly in the field of customs affairs.

They also called for execution of electricity swap deal between Iran-Russia and the Azerbaijan Republic as well as construction of four thermal power stations in Iran by Moscow, reports IRNA.

Holding the 13th Iran-Russia Joint Economic Commission in Tehran in December, signing free trade agreements, facilitating consular affairs and promoting agricultural cooperation were among other topics of discussion between Sanaei and Shuvalov.

The two officials referred to 70 percent rise in bilateral trade exchanges between Tehran and Moscow in the past six months and urged removal of obstacles on the way to further commercial ties.
