Turkish FM says discussed Syria with Iranian counterpart

EghtesadOnline: Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu says that he and Mohammad Javad Zarif discussed the crisis in Syria during the one-day stopover of the Iranian foreign minister in Turkey on Wednesday.

Cavusoglu made the remarks on Thursday during a joint press conference with his Latvian counterpart. 

According to IRNA, the Turkish foreign minister told reporters that he and Zarif discussed in details the crisis in Syria.

The Iranian foreign minister travelling back home from New York stopped over in Ankara for one day and met separately with Cavusoglu and Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim. 

No details have been revealed about the meeting between Zarif and Cavusoglu that took three hours.
