Iran ready for cooperation with Norway in LNG projects

EghtesadOnline: Ali Akbar Safaei, managing director of the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) expressed Iran’s readiness to cooperate with Norway in LNG projects and the LNG transportation.

In a meeting with the State Secretary at the Norwegian Ministry of Industry and Fisheries Dilek Ayhan in Tehran, Safaei stated that with the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), new doors would be opened for cooperation between Iran and Norway.

Iranian official reiterated that the NITC is cooperating with a large number of the Norwegian companies in supply of ship parts, equipment and insurance, adding Iran has extensive plan for gas production and exports as well, according to ISNA.

Ayhan, for her part also said her country is ready to improve mutual cooperation with the NITC in various sectors.

She also referred to the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and its impact on Iran-Norway relations and said Norway is ready to boost cooperation with the NITC in supply of ship parts and maritime transportation related fields.

She invited the NITC officials to pay a visit to Norway to get acquainted with Norwegian companies.
