Iran, Seoul expand ties in tourism

EghtesadOnline: Deputy of Iran Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO) Morteza Rahmani Movahed said more than 5000 tourists from South Korea visit Iran each year.

He made the remarks in his meeting with South Korean Deputy Culture, Sports and Tourism Minister Kwan Chu Chung in Tehran, where he stated that both countries enjoy great opportunity to expand ties in various cultural and social areas, according to ISNA.

Iranian official stressed that cooperation in tourism and expansion in this area would lead to progress in economic and political relations as well.

Both sides called for boosting mutual cooperation in cultural, tourism, artistic relations, especially in the field of tourism.

In mid-July, Tehran and Seoul signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to further broaden their mutual cooperation in trade and economic fields.
