Bulgaria envoy in Arak to develop economic ties with Markazi province

EghtesadOnline: Bulgarian Ambassador to Tehran Christo Polendakov is currentlly on a visit to Arak to get acquainted with economic capabilities of Markazi province to develop economic ties of Bulgarian province with the Iranian province.

He attended the inauguration ceremony of International Exhibition of Aluminum.

The ambassador held negotiations with governor general of the province and visited several industrial units, reports IRNA.

Deputy Governor General for economic affairs Zafar Afshon briefed the Bulgarian envoy on the economic and industrial advantages of the province, saying that it would be valuable opportunity for joint venture investments with foreigners.

Afshon said that post-JCPOA era created an opportunity to develop cooperation and joint venture investment in economic projects with the regional countries.

With aim to develop trade and economic cooperation the issue of sisterhood between Markazi province with one of provinces of Bulgaria is on the agenda.

Trade between Iran and Bulgaria stood around 150 million dollars annually.

Iran is mainly exporting plastic materials, fossil fuels, mineral oils, fruits and citrus, date and spare parts for locomotives and is importing industrial and agricultural machinery and food and wood products.
