Rouhani: Iran fully determined to expand relations with Malaysia

President Rouhani, who paid a visit to Malaysia, made the remarks in a meeting with Speaker of Malaysia Parliament Pandikar Amin Mulia on Saturday.

According to IRNA, he also urged the two sides to seize the current opportunities and use the untapped potentials for expanding mutual cooperation.

President Rouhani underscored that the two sides are determined to expand the level of mutual cooperation to pre-sanctions level.

Touching upon the two countries' determination to expand the level of mutual ties, he added the parliaments of the two countries play a pivotal role to meet that end. 

President Rouhani underscored that expansion of economic, cultural, scientific and parliamentary relations would serve the interests of the two nations. 

Commenting on the current regional and global developments, he added Iran and Malaysia as two Muslim countries could cooperate to settle the problems of Muslim world. 

Amin Mulia, for his part, said Malaysian parliament would completely support expansion of all-out relations between the two countries. 

Stressing that there is no hindrance on the way of expanding mutual cooperation, Amin Mulin called for fostering banking cooperation between the two countries.
