EghtesadOnline: Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi hailed UNESCO's worthy move to confirm the Palestinians' rights to their territories and the Muslim sanctities.

He welcomed the resolution issued by the UNESCO Executive Council to condemn illegal measures by the occupying regime of Israel in the Palestinian territories and Holy Quds.

Qasemi commended the council emphasis on the Muslims' rights to al-Aqsa Mosque, reports IRNA.

Negative reaction by the Israeli occupying regime towards the ratification is indicative of its desperation and revelation of its deceptive measures to mislead public opinion and refusal to honor its responsibility towards the international resolutions and regulations, he said.

UNESCO's Executive Council confirmed in its 200th Summit that the two sites of Abrahemic Mausoleum in al-Khalil and Belal ibn Rabah Mosque in Bethlehem are integral parts of Palestine with no historic, religious an cultural links with the Jews.

Following the Resolution of UNESCO, the occupying regime suspended its cooperation with the UN cultural entity.
