EghtesadOnline: Majlis (parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani underlined that Iran pays heed to the broadening of relations with Ivory Coast.

Larijani made the remark in a meeting with Ivorian Foreign Minister Abddallah Mabri in Tehran on Sunday, reports IRNA.

“After the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran’s foreign policy was based on establishing constructing relations with Africa,” Majlis speaker said.

He said that the two countries have always had good relations, especially in the parliamentary field, and by forming a parliamentary friendship group broadening of the two countries’ relations will be supported.

“The familiarization of Iranian businessmen with Ivory Coast’s needs in different sectors and expansion of mutual cooperation in scientific, industrial, pharmaceutical and energy fields is useful for the two nations,” Larijani added.
