According to IRNA on Tuesday, the foreign minister made the remarks while talking to reporters during his Kuwait visit.
He highlighted Iran’s strategic role in the region and said Tunisia has always had friendly ties with Iran during the long history of bilateral relations.
He said the two countries have always enjoyed very good political and economic interactions.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Jhinaoui highlighted the firm will of the Tunisian government to fight extremism which is a threat to security in the region.
