EghtesadOnline: Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi strongly reacted to the recent statements of Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmuş about Iran’s regional diplomacy.

“The regional policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran have emerged from noble humane and Islamic values and teachings that highly prioritizes security and stability of the neighboring countries, especially Muslim countries,” Qasemi said on Thursday.

“Sectarianism, ethnicity and stirring religious differences have no place in Iran’s regional and international policies,” he added.

Qasemi’s remarks came in reaction to Kurtulmuş’s statements on the influence of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s religious diplomacy in Iraq, reports IRNA.

“The spiritual influence of the Islamic Republic of Iran has arisen from good will accompanied by respecting protecting independence and territorial integrity of the neighboring countries whereby understanding it should not be difficult for some observers,” he added.

Qasemi underlined that it is necessary that the regional countries should work for ending tensions and conflicts by understanding the region’s sensitive and important situation.
