EghtesadOnline: French Eutelsat satellite provider plans to win contract with Iran to build a satellite for it.

In a meeting with Iranian Communications and Information Technology Minister Mahmoud Vaezi, French ambassador to Tehran Francois Senemaud said the Eutelsat Company is eager to cooperate with the Iranian Space Agency.

He went on to say that the agency is preparing a draft of its proposals to participate in the tender to build a satellite for Iran, stating that Iran-France joint economic commission must meet before the end of the current year to discuss trade ties between businesses from both sides, according to ISNA.

Senemaud underlined that Eutelsat and the French Orange telecommunications operator are also discussing with Iranian firms methods of increasing mutual cooperation.

Vaezi, for his part, said despite all the negative propaganda of some Western media against Iran, all large operators of the world have come to Iran to negotiate on investment and cooperation in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
