'Abji' (sister) awarded in Herat int'l women's film festival
EghtesadOnline: Documentary film, Abji (Sister), conducted by Marjan Ashrafizadeh won award in the fourth women's film festival 'Herat' , it was announced on Monday.
The movie was selected as the best documentary film of the festival.
According to IRNA, another film named 'Accidental' directed by a French director won the prize of best film director in the festival.
The prize for the best actress was awarded to the movie 'Worth' from Russia and the award for the best man actor awarded to 'Blind Cathedral' from Lebanon and the movie 'unschooled' from Russia got the award of the best scenario.
Films from Afghanistan, Iran, the US, Germany, Kazakhstan, Portugal, South Korea, India, Myanmar, Turkey, France, Egypt, Italy, Britain, Belgium, Russia, Lebanon, Vietnam, China and Bangladesh have been screened in the festival.
Iranian star Mahnaz Afshar was among special guest of the festival.
Rakhshan Bani-E'temad an internationally acclaimed Iranian film director and screenwriter was praised by the festival.
