Iran, Turkey sign 2 agreements for agricultural cooperation

EghtesadOnline: Iran and Turkey on Wednesday signed two agreements for cooperation in livestock quarantine and drawing a road map for strategic cooperation in the field of agriculture.

Signatories to the livestock quarantine cooperation agreement, which was signed at the end of the 6th Iran-Turkey joint strategic session of the agricultural cooperation committee, were Iranian Minister of Agricultural Jihad Mahmoud Hojjati and Turkish Minister of Food, Agriculture and Livestock Faruk Celik.
The second cooperation agreement, however, was signed by deputies of the two countries' agriculture ministers, according to IRNA.
Addressing the cooperation agreement inking ceremony, Hojjati said the outlook of cooperation in the field of agriculture is very promising. 
Meanwhile, Faruk Celik said that agricultural sector of Iran and Turkey should have appropriate share in hitting the trade target of 30 billion dollars.
Celik evaluated cooperation between the two countries in all fields, including agriculture, as 'good but inadequate' and expressed hope that by existing mutual intention the two countries witness bolstering relations in all fields, as well as agriculture.
Hojjati arrived in Turkey on Tuesday at the head of a delegation.
He attended the first working meeting of Iran and Turkey in the field of agriculture.
