Iran, Iraq to sign 4 judicial MoUs

EghtesadOnline: Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani said on Saturday that during his upcoming visit to Iraq, the two countries will sign four judicial agreements.

Ayatollah Larijani, who was speaking to reporters on the eve of a visit to Baghdad, said Iran has always been looking at Iraq as a friendly and brotherly country and wants the country to remain independence and sovereignty, reports IRNA. 

He said that his Baghdad visit is on an official invitation by his Iraqi counterpart during which the two countries are expected to sign agreements for human rights and judicial cooperation and extradition of prisoners. 

Separate meetings with Iraq's president, prime minister and parliament speaker are on agenda of Ayatollah Larijani's Baghdad visit.

Ayatollah Larijani said that he will discuss issues of mutual interest, as well as promotion of cooperation on judicial and legal issues with top-ranking Iraqi officials.
