Karp said that resolve of both countries to revive ties after a period of recession is important and expressed interest of Ukrainian senior officials in expansion of all-out ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran, according to IRNA.
She said that Ukrainian Energy Ministry undertook co-presidency of Iran-Ukraine Joint Economic Commission, which is to convene early 2017.
Rahimpour called for serious follow-up of the already signed MoUs at the 5th joint economic commission and development of cooperation on energy and refurbish the power plants.
He explored new opportunities for cooperation with Deputy Minister of Agriculture Olga Trofimtseva.
Trofimtseva said that Ukraine considers Iran as an important state and always welcomes negotiations with Iran on issues of mutual interests.
She said that it is necessary that agricultural cooperation committee to be formed before the next session of joint economic commission to draw up draft document for agreements on livestocks quarantine and agriculture.
In the meeting, a group of officials from Agricultural Jihad Ministry were present.
Rahimpour proposed extra-territorial farming, export of aquatics, medicines, animal vaccines from Iran to Ukraine and signing base documents in this respect.
During his 3-day visit to Kiev, Rahimpour met with First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economic Development Stephan Kobiv, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergiy Kyslytsya and Head of parliamentary committee on Foreign Affairs Anna Gopko and discussed ways to develop relations between the two countries.
