British ambassador submits credential to Iran’s President

EghtesadOnline: Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani met with new British ambassador to Tehran Nicholas Hopton, where he stressed that all countries must fulfill their obligations on JCPOA.

According to ISNA, president Rouhani and British new ambassador held a meeting together and Hopton submitted his credentials to the president.

Iran’s President emphasized the importance of enhancing mutual ties between Iran and Britain, stating that both sides must resume banking cooperation following the Joint Comprehensive plan of Action (JCPOA).

President Rouhani underscored that the two countries must boost mutual relations in different areas of science, economy, trade, politics and culture, adding JCPO proved the world that diplomatic approaches are the best solution for all problems.

British envoy for his part expressed his country’s readiness to bolster cooperation with Iran, adding that his country’s banks and companies are very interested to cooperate with Iran.
