EghtesadOnline: Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday that Iran will steer clear of the US and that negotiations with the United States brought nothing.

The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian pupils and university students to mark November 4, 1979, the Student Day on which students proclaimed followers of Imam Khomeini captured the den of spies in Tehran (the US Embassy).

The Supreme Leader said that US never hesitates to show its enmity towards Iran and opening dialogue with them does not help remove the country's economic bottlenecks, according to IRNA.

The Supreme Leader made clear that US administration aims to prevent Iran's growth and economic development, saying that negotiations with the United States will get nowhere in light of the practical experience on the ground.

The Supreme Leader said that the US officials are liar and deceitful, break their promise and strike the stab on the back. On the other hand, the United States is driven to mayhem citing the non-sense remarks of the presidential candidates and the commonplace dialogue between the two rivals.

Citing the substandard and commonplace behavior of the two US presidential candidates, the Supreme Leader said that the US senior officials lack the moral criteria, they do not observe morality and are not trustworthy.

On national politics, the Supreme Leader advised the political parties to follow the revolutionary values to salvage national economy.

The Supreme Leader said that some individuals say that negotiations with the United States will help remove the hurdles Washington put in the way of Iranian economic development, but, experience of the nuclear talks indicated that they do not honor their commitments and they are not trustworthy.

A revolutionary thought means trust in God, self-reliance, courage to take timely action, insights, carrying out the will of the late Imam Khomeini, taking initiatives, hope for future and not being afraid of the enemies and not to surrender to them, Ayatollah Khamenei said.

The Supreme Leader recalled the capture of the den of spies in Tehran, saying that the documents obtained in seizure of the US embassy including stockpiles of torn papers that were stuck later by the young students indicated depth of conspiracies and enmity of the US against Iranian nation.

The Supreme Leader advised the education ministry to put parts of the documents obtained from the den of spies in Tehran to the textbooks of the students at the high schools or make part of the the university curriculums.

The seizure of the US embassy in fact was a natural reaction to the plots and enmities of the then superpower responsible for plundering the country's wealth and natural resources for several decades but the triumph of the Islamic Revolution salvaged the country from US hands, the Supreme Leader said.

The Supreme Leader said that the anti-imperialist remarks of the late Imam Khomeini rooted in recognition of the US nature and not for the radical character of the late Imam Khomeini or prejudice.

The late Imam Khomeini stood against US to defend the high morality values as the US administration is far away from humanitarian values, the Supreme Leader said.

Trampling upon the humanitarian values and human rights, discrimination and racism are among realties in US society, the Supreme Leader said.

The Supreme Leader recalled statement of a US official from negotiating team in nuclear talks who said, 'We imposed sanctions on Iran even after implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).'

The resistance of the Iranian nation during the late Imam Khomeini era and their mottos against United States is based on a firm logic, the Supreme Leader said.

There is a wrong and dangerous belief that some try to spread it to the society that reconciliation with the US help resolve the country's problems, Ayatollah Khamenei said, adding that the JCPOA and the US conduct about the nuclear talks showed that such an idea is totally wrong.

Now, the country's officials and the negotiating team who spared no efforts in negotiations speak about the US disloyalty, the Supreme Leader said.

On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, Iran's foreign minister raised a long list of US disloyalties which remained unaccounted by the United States, the Supreme Leader said.

This is the reality of the US and now some people say to sit at the negotiating table with the US on Syria, Lebanese Hezbollah, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen and even the country's interior issues, the Supreme Leader said.

The well-known international centers and even the Americans themselves admit to the US economic, political, international and ethical crisis, the Supreme Leader adding that the US debts have taken over their GDP and based on global criterions it is an indication of economic crisis of the United States.

Such a trouble-stricken country seeks to resolve its economic crisis by looting Iran's natural resources and wealth, the Supreme Leader said.

The current status of the US in the current developments in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen and North Africa are good indication of crisis the United States is suffering from, the Supreme Leader said.

With reliance on Almighty God, the courage Iranian nation through practicing insight and resistance, they tolerated the problems and turned to a brilliant pattern in west of Asia and Persian Gulf region, the Supreme Leader said.

The exchange of disgusting words between the two US presidential nominees in recent weeks on unethical issues is good enough to defame the Americans, the Supreme Leader said.
