Majlis supports development of Iran-Belarus ties

EghtesadOnline: Chairman of Majlis Energy Commission Fereydoun Hassanvand said on Tuesday that Majlis and its specialized commissions support Iranian cooperation with Belarus on all fields.

He made the remarks in a meeting with the head of Belarusian commercial delegation.

Hassanvand said that Iran and Belarus have longstanding and that the two countries have a record of significant and useful relations, according to IRNA.

Hassanvand said that Iran and Belarus have extensive capacities for cooperation on energy, oil, gas, electricity and petrochemical industry which will serve interests of the two nations.

Iran boasts of good opportunities for investors and welcomes investment in all fields, Hassanvand said.

Cherniav, for his part, said that Iran enjoys a very significant status in the region and Belarus is keen on boosting relations with Iran due to its strategic situation.

He further noted that Belarus is interested in optimum use of the existing capacities and welcomes enhancement of parliamentary ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
