Iran, Indonesia hold 3rd meeting on human rights co-op

EghtesadOnline: The third round of Iran- Indonesia Meeting on Human Rights Cooperation was held in the Iranian capital on November 21.

According to the public and media diplomacy center of the ministry of foreign affairs, the meeting was chaired by the Managing Director of Human Rights and Women Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Zahra Pishgahi Fard and Indonesian Managing Director of Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs Dicky Komar. 

Both sides discussed humanitarian subjects and developments as well as bilateral cooperation within the the human rights mechanisms of the United Nations and other international bodies, IRNA reported.

The Iranian and Indonesian officials also agreed to cooperate on promotion and support for women's rights as well as rights of the disabled and children.

The 7-member Indonesian delegation has so far visited officials of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials in charge of a national body on the Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and Iranian Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs.

The Indonesian delegation also visited officials of Iran's Welfare Organization (Behzisti).
