Slovenian president addresses Iran's Parliament

EghtesadOnline: Visiting President of Slovenia Borut Pahor on Wednesday attended open session of Iran's Majlis (Parliament) becoming the first foreign head of state who has ever addressed the Iranian MPs.

President Pahor who arrived in Tehran on November 22, said that it is a great honor for him to attend the Iranian Majlis.

He stressed Ljubljana's willingness to promote bilateral economic and political ties with Tehran, IRNA reported. 

Noting that he has held constructive talks with the Iranian officials, President Pahor said there are good potentials for mutual cooperation between Tthe two countries.

President Pahor added that cooperation between Iran and Slovenia can help promotion of peace and security in the world.
