Pakistan condemns terrorist attack targeting pilgrims in Iraq

EghtesadOnline: Pakistani Government on Friday strongly condemned the terrorist attack targeting buses carrying pilgrims in Iraq, resulting in heavy loss of lives and injuries.

'The Government and people of Pakistan extend their heartfelt condolences to the brotherly people and Government of Iraq over the loss of innocent lives. Our hearts go out to the bereaved families and we wish speedy recovery for the injured,' Pakistani government said in a statement.

'Pakistan stands in solidarity with the brotherly people of Iraq in this hour of grief.'
Pakistan reiterated its strong condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, according to IRNA.

A truck bomb went off in the Shoumeli village, 120 kilometers southeast of Baghdad, targeting vehicles carrying passengers most of them Iranians coming back home from the holy shrines in Iraq after Arba'een.

More than 100 Iranian people were killed or injured in the terrorists attack.
