EghtesadOnline: Iranian ambassador to Moscow Mehdi Sanaei said on Saturday that no negotiations held with Russian Federation so far for overall visa cancellation.

Sanaei said in the meantime that Iran and Russia have signed an agreement on easing visa requirements, according to IRNA.

He said that visa cancellation for tourists taken by the tour agencies is being considered by the Iranian and Russian governments which will be signed in the next six months.

When signed, the new agreement will exempt the tourists taken by the tour agencies in groups between five to 50 people from getting individual visa and the authorized tour operators will take the necessary measures for undertaking tours to Russia, the ambassador said.

He said that after finalizing the agreement on tourists, the two countries may put the overall visa cancellation on the agenda.
