Jahangiri made the remarks at a local ceremony here on Sunday while referring to the US measure as violation of its commitments.
US Senate has renewed the Iran Sanctions Act (ISA) that will be the extension of a law which was first adopted in 1996 to penalize investment in energy industry in Iran, IRNA reported.
Turning to the developments taking place in the US and the West, Jahangiri said those events can be dangerous for the today world which is facing threatening conditions.
'Important events could be expected in the critical region in which we are living,' the first vice-president noted.
