Speaker Aide: You cannot pin hope on US slogans to fight terrorism

He made the remarks in a meeting with Syrian Ambassador to Tehran Adnan Mahmoud, according to IRNA. 

Given to victories of Syrian military forces in fight against terrorists in important regions of Aleppo city, Amir-Abdollahian said that the humanitarian crisis in Syria has only political solution.

He said that Syrian people, leadership and armed forces by resistance to foreign terrorists guaranteed national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria.

Tehran and Moscow will continue their support to the Syrian government against terrorists and their supporters and will proceed with political and diplomatic efforts to end Syrian crisis.

Adnan Mahmoud thanked Iranian government and nation for supporting the Syrian people, saying that regional hegemonic countries and their supporters are now hopeless and ashamed of victories of our fighters, because their ominous terrorist plots were ruined.

Regarding to political and ground victories of the Syrian forces, Mahmoud said that taking every decision about Syria should be in the framework of strategic policies of Syria, Iran and Russia.

He talked about prudence of the Supreme Leader concerning political and international developments in the region and the entire world, saying that all reservations of His Excellency on Syria and JCPOA have come true.

Adnan Mahmoud called for implementation of the economic agreements already signed between the two countriesm saying that fulfillment of the agreements would be a great help for the Syrian nation.
