EghtesadOnline: First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri in a meeting with Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer highlighted Iran's capacities to become a regional hub in dispatch of humanitarian aids to the affected people of the countries.

'The Islamic Republic of Iran can become a center for dispatch of humanitarian aids to the regional countries,' Jahangiri said during the meeting.

He reiterated that the ICRC is conducting important humanitarian measures at international and regional levels and Iran is also interested in bolstering bilateral ties with the ICRC on the basis of the religion of Islam's tenets and teachings, according to IRNA.

'Iran is having good logistic capabilities in dispatch of humanitarian aids,' Jahangiri said.

Maurer, for his part, voiced ICRC's concerns about the spread of violence and crises around the world.
