Kavakebian expressed the hope that parliamentary friendship groups, by relying on common points, try to increase and bolstera relations.
Sergio Sousa Pinto said Iran influences the Islamic world by its science, culture and art.
According to IRNA, he talked about vast impact of Iranian culture on Portugal and added that because of plenty of cultural commonalties, the two sides may increase their investment and accelerate parliamentary interaction, because parliamentary diplomacy may improve general policies of the two states.
