Armenia requests Iranian cooperation on road construction

EghtesadOnline: Armenian Minister of Transport and Communication Vahan Martirosyanon Monday called for Iranian cooperation to build roads and transport infrastructure.

He made the remarks in meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Yerevan Kazem Sajjadi. 

The meeting was held on the eve of President Rouhani visit to Armenia, according to IRNA.

The two sides exchanged views on cooperation and participation of Iranian companies in development of transport infrastructure and construction of roads in Armenia.

Martirosyan welcomed Iranian companies' activities and presence to implement development projects including construction of roads and transport infrastructure in Armenia.

He called for enhanced cooperation of the private and public sectors being beneficial for both nations.

President Hassan Rouhani is to pay a formal visit to Armenia on the head of high ranking delegation on December 21, 2016.

The two presidents are expected to review bilateral and regional cooperation and will sign agreements.
