Iran Stocks Plunge on Tuesday

EghtesadOnline: Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index shed 223.89 points or 0.28% to end Monday trade at 78,609.50.

About 857 million shares valued at $49.1 million changed hands for the day.

Iran Construction Development Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies, as it went down 7.67% to 1,059 rials per share.

Jooshkab Yazd Industries Company was the biggest riser, going up 5% to 12,920 rials per share, according to Financial Tribune.

Iran Khodro weighed the most on TEDPIX, followed by Esfahan Oil Refining Company and Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company.

Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark, followed by Mines and Mining Development Company and Mobarakeh Steel Company.

The Price Index was down 78.80 points or 0.28% to stand at 27,657.40.

The First Market Index shed 131.80 points or 0.24% to post 55,882.70.

The Second Market Index lost 629.95 points or 0.38% to reach 166,820.10.

The Industry Index gave up 214.17 points or 0.32% to register 66,134.70.

The Free Float Index dropped by 302.97 points or 0.35% to rest at 86,187.

The TSE 30 Index inched down 10.30 points or 0.32% to settle at 3,216.78 while the TSE 50 Index lost 7.90 points or 0.25% to finish at 3,112.40.

Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX lost 8.33 points or 0.99% to end Monday trade at 826.94.

Close to 325 million securities valued at $37.8 million were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Shahdab Nab Khorasan Company saw the highest number of traded shares, as more than 16 million of its shares changed hands.

Mavad Vizhe Lia Company posted the highest trade value with the trading of shares worth $1.8 million.

Mavad Vizhe Lia Company, Pakdis Company and Kerman Development and Construction Company registered the highest value increase.

Ballast Company, Omid Taban Hour Energy Management Company and Tuka Paint Company suffered the highest decline.
