EghtesadOnline: Iran's Petroleum Ministry announced on Sunday that Iran's exports of gas condensates to South Korea has not only not reduced but has also increased.

The announcement came in response to a claim by Reuters news agency on Saturday that Iran's exports of gas condensates to South Korea has reduced in January.

'It seems that Reuters report was based on monitoring tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz. This is while Iran had already had several super tankers full of gas condensates in the high seas near China which delivered part of Iran's exports of gas condensates to South Korea,' the announcement said.

Three South Korean companies imported 11 million barrels of gas condensates from Iran in December 2016 so that the Eastern Asian country remained the main buyer of Iranian gas condensate, according to IRNA.

Reuters had claimed that Qatar has left behind Iran in exporting gas condensates to South Korea.
