According to the Office of Communications Media of the cultural capital of Islamic Culture-Mashhad, 2017, “Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri” pointed out in the policy council meeting of the capital of Islamic culture that there is no need for special names for Mashhad city to be recognized by international visitors. He added: if fact, there is a need for Razavi culture of Mashhad by the Islamic world and it is a mutual honor for us and the Islamic world to benefit from this opportunity.
According to ISNA, head of the policy council of the capital of Islamic World-Mashhad 2017 expressed: “today, with the official recognition of Mashhad as the cultural capital of the Islamic world, it is attempted to promote the Razavi culture in the Islamic world”.
Mentioning some of the current problems of Islamic countries, Salehi affirmed that one of the major goals of selecting Mashhad as the cultural capital of the Islamic world is to convey the message of peace arose from Razavi culture. He also added: “the only way to have peace is to familiarize other Islamic countries with Razavi culture.”
According to Salehi, one of the effects of the presence of the Holy shrine of Imam Reza in this geographic area is the promotion of a culture of peace, intimacy and ethics. Salehi stated that among all of these terrorist threats around the world, especially in the Europe, everyone is looking for a safe place. In this regard, Mashhad should be introduced as the safest religious city in the world. He affirmed: “Mashhad is the safest religious city in the Islamic world and we can start a new Islamic civilization using Razavi culture in 2017.”
However, in order to achieve this goal, the central point for the creation of a modern Islamic civilization in Iran must be Mashhad since history review has revealed the high capacities of the city in this regard. Therefore, it is attempted to revive this civilization in 2017.
According to Salehi, “another goal of this event is the unity of the Islamic world. We must hang the flags of unity and solidarity of the Islamic world on the minarets of the city and tell the Islamic world that we need strong supporters to defeat the enemies.”
Salehi also mentioned that it is suggested to send different art, literature, poem, theater and Quranic groups to other Islamic countries in order to revive Razavi Culture. He also pointed out: “revival of dialogue between nations and religions and Islamic sects in Mashhad 2017 event must be properly hosted in Mashhad.”
