EghtesadOnline: Head of the Strategic Research Center of Iran's Expediency Council, Ali-Akbar Velayati, said on Tuesday that Iran will spare no effort to help the Izadi minority in Iraq.

Velayati made the remarks in a meeting in Tehran with Sheikh Samir, a representative of the General Assembly of Iraqi Izadis, as well as a number of Izadi members of the Iraqi parliament.

Expressing satisfaction with the close cooperation between Izadi minority and Hashd al-Shaabi forces in Iraq, Velayati said Iran is very serious in protecting Iraq's sovereignty, territorial integrity and preventing the country's disintegration, IRNA reported.

Referring to an imminent liberation of Mosul as the main stronghold of Daesh in Iraq, Velayati said the defeat of enemies in Iraq is certain.

In the meantime, the Izadi delegation also briefed the Iranian official on the atrocities of Daesh terrorists against the Izadi minority in Iraq, including the kidnapping of 6,000 Izadi women and elderly men and raping Izadi girls.

They also called on Iran to use its close relations with the political groups in Iraq to accelerate release of the kidnapped Izadi people.
