Deputy FM: Tehran, Belgrade to develop ties

EghtesadOnline: Deputy Foreign Minister for Europe and American Affairs, Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi, said on Tuesday Tehran and Belgrade have friendly relations and there exists firm intention to consolidate bilateral politico-economic relations.

Takht-e-Ravanchi made the remarks in a meeting with Assistant Foreign Minister of Serbia, Goran Aleksic, in Tehran on Tuesday.

In the meeting, Takht-e-Ravanchi talked about Iran's capacities in different fields of economy, commerce, oil and gas and announced Iran's readiness to consolidate and strengthen economic ties and share experience in different fields, IRNA reported.

Aleksic is here to hold political consultations with Iranian officials.

He told Takht-e-Ravanchi that Belgrade believes in great importance of ties with Iran and thinks Iran has constructive role in regional and international developments, especially in the Islamic world.

He underlined that Serbian government is ready to strengthen relations in the fields of economy, technology and tourism with Iran.

The two sides also discussed developments in the Middle East and southeast region of Europe.
