EghtesadOnline: Madrid Municipality advisor for security affairs and a number of firefighters in the capital attended Iran’s Embassy to the capital on Wednesday to express sympathy with the families of Palasco incident victims.

Jose Javier Barbero Kotirus signed the memorial book for the martyred firefighters in Plasco, saying that firefighters around the world enjoy the common culture of devotion for the lives of their countrymen and they are pioneers of welcoming risks to save others.

“We understand the pain and grief of bereaved families and feel ourselves alongside our Iranian firefighters among the flames and fumes of Plasco Building,” he said.

According to IRNA, he also voiced his colleagues’ readiness for any help to Tehran Municipality and Fire Station.

Iranian Ambassador, Mohammad Hassan Fadaei-Frad, welcomed Madrid firefighters and appreciated them for their sympathy to their Iranian colleagues.

Meanwhile, Madrid-based Iranian students attended the Iranian Embassy to the capital to pay tribute to the victims of Plasco incident.

Holding their paintings and messages in their hands, they expressed sympathy to their friends who lost their fathers in the incident.

The 17-storey Plasco Trade Center collapsed in Tehran on Thursday, January 19, while the firefighters were trying to extinguish the fire in the building.

The search operation is underway for finding the bodies of missing firefighters.
