EghtesadOnline: Iraqi former Oil Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi said that his country’s cooperation with Iran on oil and other economic projects has increased remarkably over the recent years.

After a meeting with the Head of Expediency Council’s Center for Strategic Research Ali Akbar Velayati on Tuesday, Abdul-Mahdi congratulated the 38th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution and hailed joint implementation of oil and gas projects by the two countries, IRNA reported.

Describing the level of activities of the two countries’ companies as 'desirable', he said that signing memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on joint oilfields will help promote economic relations.

Abdul-Mahdi also called for using Iran’s experience in the oil and gas sectors to devise plans for Iraq’s future.
