Iran’s auto industry future rival of European, Asian companies

EghtesadOnline: South Korean Ambassador to Tehran Kim Seung-ho said on Sunday that Iran would become the European and Asian rival in auto production in near future.

South Korean envoy made the remarks In the 4th Iran Automotive Industry International Conference (IAIIC) currently underway in Tehran. 

According to IRNA, he underscored that Iran enjoys huge industrial capacities, auto industry in particular. 

The evoy described the conference as an important industrial event in Iran, adding the gathering is a proper venue to become acquainted with the Iranian auto industry. 

IAIIC kicked off in Tehran on Sunday with participation of 400 foreign companies.

Focusing on sales and aftersales services, the IAIIC is the biggest automotive gathering in the country after the July 2015 nuclear deal. 

Officials and directors of big Asian and European car manufacturers including Peugeot, Citroen, Scania and Renault as well as domestic car making companies have attended the two-day event underway in Milad Tower.

Some participating countries in the 4th IAIIC are France, Turkey, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan, South Korea and China.
