1st Embraer aircraft joins Iran’s air fleet

EghtesadOnline: The first Brazilian Embraer airplane joined Iran’s air fleet and some 4 other Embraer 195 will be added to Iran fleet by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2017), an official said.

The Managing Director of Kish Airlines Mohammad-Taqi Jadidi told IRNA on Wednesday that after making the airplanes operational, Kish Air’s destinations will increase to 20 airports.

“After Brazilian airplanes are joined to Iranian fleet, Kish Air fleet will be boosted to 18 planes,” IRNA quoted him as saying.

“These aircraft are light and 108-seated and were made in 2008 and 2010,” he added.

Embraer 195 known as E-Jet is a Brazilian small passenger plane which has been designed and manufactured by Embraer Company.

Embraer 170 first joined the airlines in 2002 and some 1,000 of the plane were manufactured until 2013.

Embraer planes are capable of flying at 900 km speed and fly the distance of 3,500 km.
