Bosnia-Herzegovina urges enhanced ties with Iran

EghtesadOnline: Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Adil Osmanovic called for expansion of cooperation in the fields of culture, sports and science with Iran on Wednesday

He made the call in a meeting with Iran’s Ambassador in Sarajevo Mahmoud Heidari.

Osmanovic expressed pleasure over growing ties between the two countries, saying that his ministry is ready to use all existing capacities and opportunities for boosting bilateral relations, IRNA reported.

The minister also hoped that the agreement on cultural exchanges will be signed between the two capitals after it its ordinary procedure is accomplished.

He also expressed hope that he would visit his Iranian counterpart in Sarajevo in the near future.

Meanwhile, the Iranian ambassador said that programs marking the victory anniversary of Iran's 1979 Islamic Revolution were welcomed in Sarjevo and added this indicated the depth of the two nations’ cultural commonalities.

Heidari also voiced Iran’s readiness to extend programs for cultural exchanges between the two countries and strengthening scientific and academic relations, particularly in the field of modern technologies.
