France’s Citroen to make investment in Kashan

EghtesadOnline: A Iranian official said in this central province on Saturday that the giant French automotive Peugeot Citroen is going to make investment in Kashan in auto industry.

Governor of Kashan Hamid-Reza Momenian made the remarks on the sidelines of French cultural week in Kashan. 

According to IRNA, Momenian said following the implementation of the nuclear agreement known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iran and France industrial transactions have increased. 

He added the two countries attach great importance to expansion of mutual tourism cooperation. 

Touching upon Iran-France rich cultural commonalities, he described the cultural week as a good opportunity to expand mutual relations. 

Meanwhile, French Ambassador to Iran Francois Senemaud said on Friday (Feb 17) that his country’s automakers are determined to have cooperation with their Iranian counterparts. 

He made the remarks on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of a week-long French Educational Workshops in the city of Kashan. 

Senemaud further noted that Renault is currently engaged in signing a deal with the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) while Peugeot and Citroen have make big investments with the Iranian partners, Iran Khodro and Saipa. 

The Renault-IDRO agreement pertains to new generation of automobiles using modern technologies, he said.
