$92m Approved for Disadvantaged Regions

EghtesadOnline: Iranian lawmakers approved 3.5 trillion rials (over $92.7 million) in the budget earmarked for the promotion and implementation of industrial and mining projects in underprivileged areas across the country.

The decision on Tuesday is part of the review of the budget bill for the upcoming fiscal year (starting March 20, 2017).

As per the legislation, the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade and the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization are entitled to use this budget for implementing new projects or completing unfinished ones in cooperation with the private sector in disadvantaged areas, according to Financial Tribune.
