EghtesadOnline: Iran is one of the first birthplaces of the smart man who for the first time managed to immigrate to Europe, the Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and Tourism (RICHT) reported.

Conclusions were drawn based on the results of archeological explorations in the Kaldar Cave, printed in world’s most prestigious magazines.

According to IRNA, RICHT Public Relations Office quoted head of the archeometry exploration team in Kaldar Cave Behrouz Bazigir as saying that the results of the unique discoveries of the joint Iranian-Spanish delegation of archeometry explorations in Kaldar Cave have recently been published in a detailed article in one of the premier magazines of multidisciplinary sciences of the world (Scientific Reports).

According to the researcher of the Institute of Human Paleoecology and Social Evolution (IPHES), the mentioned article is the outcome of two year of studies on the objects discovered in archeological explorations in Kaldar Cave which was conducted with the participation of 19 international researchers and within the framework of a scientific memorandum of understanding between the Spanish institute and Iran’s Research Institute of Archeology with the cooperation of Faranak Bahrol-Olomi and Mowlud Sadat Azimi, experts of the RICHT.

Bazigar noted that up to the present time most contemporary scientists and experts believed that Western Asia, particularly Levant, is the most possible place of origin of smart human beings who managed to successfully immigrate to the European continent but the evidence obtained in the research works in Kaldar Cave has put the idea that Levant is the only immigration route and the only origin of modern human beings under serious doubt and shows that further research works are needed to review the previous hypothesis.

He pointed to the Ksar Akil area in Lebanon and Manot Cave in Palestine as the most important sites in the Levant region which have so far been the place of the discovery of the oldest stone tools of the smart human beings.
