55-MW wind farm inaugurated in Qazvin prov

EghtesadOnline: The fifty-five megawatt wind farm was inaugurated with the attendance of Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian in Takestan, Qazvin.

The wind farm which has 22 turbines is capable of producing up to 100 MW electricity.

Over $92 million has been invested by MAPNA Group for this project, and the wind farm will be able to supply 15% of Iran’s electricity, IRNA reported.

According to the provincial officials, Qazvin has the capacity of investing launching 4,000 MW electricity by taking advantage of renewable wind and solar energies. 

MAPNA Group is a group of Iranian companies involved in development and execution of thermal and renewable power, oil & gas, railway transportation and other industrial projects as well as manufacturing main equipment including gas and steam turbines, electrical generator, turbine blade and vane, HRSG and conventional boilers, electric and control systems, gas compressor, locomotive and other pertinent equipment.
