Iran, Belarus consider roadmap for enhancing ties

EghtesadOnline: Iran's Ambassador to Minsk Mustafa Oveysi and Belarusian Minister of Industry Vitaly Vovk considered roadmap to develop relations and Iran's participation in the Belarusian exhibitions.

In the meeting, the two sides negotiated on mechanisms to expand ties and grounds for new cooperation to increase economic cooperation.

Establishment of working groups in commercial, agricultural, industrial and banking sectors was discussed in the talk, IRNA reported.

Program to hold future joint economic cooperation commission meeting in Tehran was also considered in the meeting.

Iran is to participate in the Belarusian international fair, which is to be held on May.

According to the signed roadmap between the two countries in April 2015, Iran and Belarus are to increase trade exchange volume from $75 million annually to $250 million until the end of 2017.

Belarus in the east of Europe is neighboring Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania and Latvia.
