EghtesadOnline: The U.K. submitted a formal request to exit the European Union, invoking Article 50 of the Treaty on European Union, EU President Donald Tusk said.

Britain’s ambassador to the EU, Tim Barrow, on Wednesday submitted the letter signed by U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May, starting the clock on two years of exit negotiations, Bloomberg reported.

“After nine months, the U.K. has delivered,” Tusk said , in a posting on Twitter.
