”Repaying 92 trillion rials ($2.45 billion) of arrears to SSO which had piled up from previous years, in spite of all the economic hardship and other payments made during the previous fiscal year, indicates the administration’s commitment to the promise it made to the Iranian people,” Seyyed Taqi Nourbakhsh wrote as reported by ILNA. The official noted that SSO paid over 84 trillion rials ($2.24 billion) during the month to March 20 alone in pension and bonuses to retirees and pensioners, Financial Tribune reported.
