“This amount accounts for 96% of all the investments ever made in southern Kerman,” Mahmoud Eskandari-Nasab was quoted as saying by IRNA.
The official noted that close to 370 factories producing a wide range of products, including tomato paste, mineral water, apparel, furniture, wooden ornaments, chemicals, fertilizers and plastic, are to be established in southern Kerman as per new investments, which will create nearly 8,000 direct jobs.
The South Kerman Industries, Mining and Trade Organization oversees 7 counties in the southeastern Iranian province, according to Financial Tribune.
