Non-Industrial Investments in Kish FTZ Increase

EghtesadOnline: Non-industrial investments worth 37.5 trillion rials (about $1 billion) were made in Kish Free Trade Zone in the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2017), which stood at 7 trillion rials ($186.66 million) in the fiscal March 2012-13, an official with Kish Free Trade Zone Organization said.

“Over the past four years, about 6,007 direct jobs were created in Kish, up from 930 in March 2013-14. As many as 427 manufacturing and service-providing entities were established last year, indicating more than a 17% rise compared with March 2014-15," Ali Jirofi was also quoted as saying by ILNA. Kish is a 91.5-square-kilometer resort island in the Persian Gulf off the southern coast of Iran, which enjoys free trade zone status, Financial Tribune reported.
